Story
A series of murders is terrorizing Rom and the Killer is leaving cards
of the Struwwelpeter children book on the victims. It´s Police Inspector
Lomenzo´s (Michele Placido) case but also the private investigation
bureau of Riccio (Eli Wallach) is on it. The beautiful Jeanne (Corinne
Clery), who knows about bizarre happenings at the Villa Hoffmann, is
getting the Inspector on a possible right path. Hoffmann (John Steiner)
and his strange Flora & Fauna Club seem to be connected and there
lies probably the key to the murder….
Director PAOLO CAVARA,
known for his work with Jacopetti & Prosperi on various Mondo Movies
but also for The black belly of the tarantula, Los Amgios or The wild
eye etc. created here a wild and bizarre film, a real bastard of a
Giallo and Poliziotto. Lead by investigator MICHELE PLACIDO (The
Octopus, The Pyjama Girl Case, Giovanni Falcone etc) and the beautiful
CORINNE CLERY (History of O, Hitch Hike, Moonraker etc), the always
fantastic ELI WALLACH (The good, the bad and the ugly, MacKennas Gold,
Crazy Joe etc.) has a strange role as leader of a private investigation
company. The great JOHN STEINER plays the mysterious Hoffmann and even
TOM SKERRITT (Alien, The Devil´s Rain, Top Gun, Poltergeist III etc) can
be seen in one of his rare italian appearances.
DANIELE PATTUCHI is supporting E Tanta Paura with an outstanding and fascinating score.

Story
Mario, Luis and Gio are a low-key trio who`s motive to rob a gas
station might refer to their adolescent cockiness. Four people die.
Mario and Gio, inebriated of their action, feeling mighty and
invincible, Luis tries to convince both, without avail , to stop them
from further killings. As much as he tries Mario and Gio even get
deadlier and more extreme. On the getaway from their last crime scene
they decide to rob a bank. But money isn’t the reason, attention is what
they want and need. After further killings their way of violence leads
them to the Peripherie of Milano. Policeblocks get avoided and the hunt
for these youngsters gets expanded by K 9 Units and helicopters but
there`s no end in sight with their killing spree…..
ROMOLO
GUERRIERI, Director of Films like Ring of Death, The sweet body of
Deborah, Love Inferno, Guns of Violence, or The final Executioner,
succeeded in creating a perfect example of Terror Cinema with „Young,
violent, dangerous“. With a strong script by FERNANDO DI LEO (Milano
Calibro 9, Manhunt in the city, The Boss etc) and a solid cast with
TOMAS MILIAN (Almost Human, The big gundown, Run Man Run etc) as
commissioner and the three wild ones STEFANO PATRIZIA, MAX DELYS und
BENJAMIN LEV. The Film got a fine score by GIANFRANCO PLENIZIO (Djangos
Return, Milano Violenta etc) which is completely included on the disc.
